Unfortunately, for our brothers in DFW area, the warm nose is ruining the fun for you guys....at the moment.

Dynamic cooling can make for a very tricky forecast..

How big/deep is the warm nose? Is it something that could be overcome with heavy enough precipitation?

Do you think some flakes could fly as far south as hwy 59 overnight?

Pretty good line of storms over Dallas Co pushing up to the NE. Temps are running about 5-6 degrees warmer than forecasted, and I'm not expecting anything winter like falling across DFW.

Nothing cold showing up on any of the models for the next couple weeks. FV3 has a lot of rain, but other than that it appears to be a pretty boring pattern.

Yeah you can see the stubborn warmth on the Mesoanalysis. Ugh. Concerning how the models are dropping the cold later in the month as well. I was thinking at least I could see some snow up north. Probably not if things don't change.

With the temperature in the mid 60s in the D-FW area now, I think snow chances are low. Enjoying the nice warm air in SE TX today. It's not even winter yet...

yeah, and with all that thunder I'm hearing, doesn't that guarantee that I'll see snow in the next 10 days?

Winter will come for DFW and so will the winter weather, just don't look for it before New Years, so far December has remained below normal temp wise with a current -1.9 and above average precip.

Yeah I was eating in Dallas off 75 and Henderson Knox and it started hailing while we were there. Now it's sunny but thundering. How odd lol

It was so mild all morning in Weatherford . . . seemed like spring. So I thought there would be no chance of seeing any snow tonight. Starting to have hope again. The temperature has dropped from 59 to 48 in the past hour. And that is without any precip.
