Looks like it was a hell of a day!

Yuma & Phoenix approaching 80F by Friday...

This has ROAD TRIP written all over it!!!

currently 23f with blowing snow and winds out of the N@20

I don't know what those red markers are on the image but the one by the Huachucas is on the West Range of Forth Huachuca near the UAV Runway.

The red markers are more than likely forest fires that have been flagged by an algorithm on that satellite.

Its been a while since the desert Southwest along with CA has had clear skies and warm temps...this seems to be changing...is winter over with down there?

They are doing prescribed burns on Fort Huachuca right now so that would be the fire they are noting there.

All I can say is "WOW!" :eek: WHat a GREAT shot!!!! Yes indeedy.......now you see why the drought situation has been taken down a few notches......we were at Exceptional conditions, as of yesterday, we are not a moderate 8-) AND........it's NOT over, we've had a break for a few days, actually saw the SUN BUT.......it's short lived, the high pressure is breaking down and the WHOLE scenario is changing once again :eek: We've got 2-3 more systems projected to hit over the weekend and into next week!!!

BTW....the snowpack on the peak (Mt. Baldy) near the New Mexico Border, is an UNBELIEVABLE 138" and like I said, there's a TON more snow to COME!
