Dang!! No relief for the weary. Hopefully you will get 3 more white outs before Spring and end the drought out there.

I think it's gonna take a lot more than that to end the drought. It's a long term multi-year drought that is afflicting Dennis and the entire Southwest pretty much. :(

a fire started by tracer rounds in the South Range of Fort Huachuca got caught by Canyon winds ahead of a front that were gusting over 60 mph. Between midnight and 2 am, the fire roared from the base of the mountains to Buffalo Soldier Trail (then a 2 lane road) on the other side of which was Sierra Vista. Every piece of fire equipment in Cochise County that was available was along that road and managed to prevent the fire from jumping into town but it was close. A mile away at my house, the visibility was zero in smoke with falling ash and embers-a not good situation.

With regards to the drought happening in AZ and other parts of the Western Plains and Interior West, it began in 1996 and its going to take 3-5 YEARS of totally above normal precipitation in a row to alleviate it.
