From Lubbock to Midland, Texas

#1 Postby Johnny » Wed Jan 21, 2004 4:04 pm

In there afternoon discussions today....

Lubbock says.......

EXTENDED MODELS CONTINUE IN GENERAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CARVING OUT A
BROAD TROUGH OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF THE NATION MY MID WEEK. THIS IN
RESPONSE TO STRONG UPPER RIDGING OVER THE EASTERN PACIFIC INTO THE
GULF OF ALASKA. IT APPEARS AT THIS TIME THAT WE COULD BE IN FOR A
VERY COLD SURGE OF ARCTIC AIR BY MID TO LATE NEXT WEEK. WILL CONTINUE
WITH PREVIOUS FORECASTER THOUGHTS ON TRIMMING TEMPS DOWNWARD NEXT
WEEK.

Midland says......

TRENDED TEMPERATURES DOWN BY WEDNESDAY AS VERY COLD AIR WILL SURGE
SOUTHWARD TOWARD THE SOUTHERN PLAINS IN BROAD CYCLONIC FLOW ACROSS
THE A SIGNFICANT PORTION OF THE UNITED STATES.

Is the coldest air of the season on the way?
