Monster storm for 1/30/04? Uh, correct me if I'm wrong but that's 16 days away and we all know what GFS truly stands for, don't we? Generally Full of Sh!t! I no longer pay much attention to models after that blast that wasn't, the flood that we're suppose to get this weekend that was NEVER MENTIONED IN ANY MODEL, etc., etc., etc.

Right now any forecasts beowned 5 days is to be taken with a Huge grain of salt. The Modles have been in the long range showing possable set ups for historect snow storms.Only to be false alwarms when we get closer to the events.Simpley put as long as we have such a strong power pack Pv where it is and a strong Pj and the pattern as it is.Its going to be one where yes we will have storms. But the storms are Not going to be able to turn up the coast and more then likey be surpprest to the the south because the Pv being so strong and the Northen Jet is so strong that none of the system are going to be able to phase right for storms to head up the coast. So a good pattern of record cold but a bad pattern right now for those really hopeing for major snow storms in the North.Imo having tempertures like this past weekend in parts of the east and northeast with hights not geting out of the teens with little or No snow on the ground is in it self is a very big event and just as impressive imo.
