It seems that its simply a hardware issue. Their BB cant handle the high traffic that comes along with an event such as this, and crashes. They should invest in a more powerful server, but I am not sure if that is even one of their priorities. Trying to get an answer out of an admin is like pulling teeth over there.
Not to say that I dont appriciate the board or enjoy visiting it, but it does get rather annoying when it consistantly goes down during the thick of things.
Ah well, as long as the semi-professional and professional mets continue posting there, it will reign as #1.

I'm starting to get sick of WWBBs nonsense.
I like the board and all, but it goes down at the worst times, and they say how its been fixed and junk when it runs fine but then when its crashing they leave all the posters wondering and waiting 10 minutes to open a page, only to hear a post, "had a problem, slowly working on it."
This board is probably better than I would have thought just a few days ago.

WeatherGuide wrote:You all are more than welcome to help me start up the forum at WeatherGuide (http://forums.myweatherguide.com). I am to the point where I'm starting to tire of WWBB as well. I know if my forum gets busy like that.. I will be a little more proactive in keeping things straight.
Not saying I'm going to be some kind of thought police.. but at least keeping people civil with each other.. there are always disagreements in wx.. but hell, you don't have to start the name calling!
Once again WELCOME TO STORM2K!!! POST AWAY!!! We have no thought police here either, just like a calmer atmosphere.
BUT, just as we do not like our site being bashed, here or elsewhere, neither does WW. PLEASE TAKE THE COMPLAINING AND BASHING PRIVATE AND DISCUSS WEATHER ON THE PUBLIC FORUMS!!!
