Temps beginning to fall in N VA......

#1 Postby Anonymous » Tue Jan 13, 2004 3:16 pm

We have N winds at 11 to 18mph, with gusts to 34 mph.

There are a few scattered cumulus blowing hurriedly south in the cold advection.

Our high was 54 degrees; however we are now slowly falling into the 40s.............48 degrees at 313pm, with a dewpoint of 28 degrees.

Look for lows in the upper teens overnight then highs tomorrow struggling to eke out 30 degrees. Our high tomorrow will probably be about 27 degrees, with dewpoints in the lower single numbers.

One thing I gotta say about this winter: I have enjoyed some arctic air here folks. That 9 degree jebwalk was cold-------------nothing refreshing about it. But it was very interesting and enjoyable---------I wonder if it will get that cold again in the days to come.........................

Jeb- a little snowpack might cool things down a bit. Some major water bodies are still frozen after two days in the 50s!! Rappahannock still had ice and snow on it this morning.

Just posted 42 degrees here. The temps are having a tough time falling through the low 40s here. I think we may see a passing rain shower later, but it will likely be a little too warm for a snow shower tonight until about 5 am tomorrow morning.
