We've had a lot of persistent heavy rain here tonight, to the tune of 3 inches as of 12:50am this morning, and still coming down hard. Temps are still in the low 50s with dewpoints in the mid/upper 40s.
Just think, if this had been snow...............We'd have had over 3 feet of snow.

Yeap Jeb it surely does keep ya wandering and hoping and praying and wishing. But still we gotta be honest with ourselfs about the snow situation. We are more enept to see Rain then Snow in our Neck of the woods per say.
I had nearly 5 or 6 inches of snow on the groudn when i left this morning now comign up to this up coming moring i am going to walk outside my door and see just green grass and pactchy spots of dirty snow. If i am lucky. We have to take alot of bad before we can sneak out a few good events. The Rain has not fully arived had prefrontal rains earlier temp soured up from 46 all day if not lower to now our high of 54. I am waiting to see how this rain shield comes in.

It's sad to say, the rain has been very heavy here; we have had over 3 inches tonight. When it hits you, it will have intensified. I am very much concerned that the rain and milder temps will probably not be very merciful to your snowpack. Brace yourself for at least 2 to 3 inches of rain; the rain will be heavy at times and it will likely wash most, if not all, of your snow away by mid-morning, if not sooner.
