#1 Postby jack615 » Fri Dec 05, 2003 3:20 pm

Central Middlesex County MA-Eastern Essex MA-Southeast Middlesex MA-
Suffolk MA-Western Essex MA-
310 PM EST Fri Dec 5 2003
Winter storm warning in effect until 12 PM EST Sunday

This warning includes the greater Boston metropolitan area and the lower Merrimack Valley.

The leading edge of snow will arrive early tonight and snow May fall heavily at times into Saturday morning.

This slow moving winter storm will continue to produce periods of snow during the day on Saturday, heavy at times later Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning.

While it is still too early to know exactly where the heaviest axis of snow will be, the potential exists for accumulations of 6 to 12 inches on the immediate coast with 12 to 18 inches possible inland.

North Winds will increase significantly Saturday night and near blizzard conditions are possible at times. Travel will be difficult especially during the times of heavy snowfall.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Slow down and allow extra time when traveling. If you must travel be sure to allow plenty of extra time.
