Good News

#21 Postby d » Fri Dec 05, 2003 11:48 am

maybe I can still get a decent snow out of this. Looks like this first punch was a blessing in the sky in regards to setting the stage for second. Just hope that second one comes through as shown on the models (always surprises though)

I'm located in Gloucester County. I had almost 2 inches on the grassy areas and car when I left at 7:30 am. It was started to stick on the roadways and driveway. I work at the shore and by the time I got to Hammonton, the flakes were getting pretty large, but it was snowing heavily. The AC Expressway was awful from Hammonton to the Egg Harbor toll plaza - icy, not plwed, etc. There were some plows, but most were going north. OF COURSE they were by the Farley Plaza and toll booth. I actually saw four trucks sitting by the toll plaza! :x

By the time I got to Hamilton Mall it was rain - a HARD rain. Currently the wind is howling and the rain is blowing horizontally.

I can't wait for the ride home!!

12 noon and very light snow has reached NW NJ. Current temp 27F and winds North to NNE 5-10. Should be on my way to a solid 12" with upwards of 18" within the realm of possibilities. Enjoy all!!

An Official Potpourri of Precip:

Rain, Sleet and some of the largest snow flakes I have ever seen. Not sure if anything else can mix in there?
