Mt. Holly just updated to a warning for today

#1 Postby nodriveslow » Fri Dec 05, 2003 7:32 am

Unbelievable!!!
Waits until people are on their way to work and school and updates to a warning for 4-8" today!!
Most people are only expecting 1-3.
March 2001 really affected their thought process.

Now we know its gonna bust - 1" max  Some are starting to say that this storm will be more progressive and not bomb til offshore heading towards the maritimes. The 6Z models seem to be agreeing. Does LC pull a coup at the 11th hour :?:

Today. Snow. Heavy at times. Changing to rain by early afternoon. Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches before the changeover. Highs in the upper 30s. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight. Cloudy and brisk. Periods of rain changing back to snow late tonight. Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches by morning. Lows in the mid 30s. Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph.

Saturday. Cloudy and windy with snow. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches by evening. Highs in the upper 30s. Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph.

Does that mean NWS thinks Philly could receive 8-16 inches? wow...

got news for ya el blindo LC has already busted. He didnt go for a small or meoderate event--- he went for NO event.

The fact that the nwsf at Mt Holly had a forecast that was bad is very common and a good sign

maybe you should look at a radar

Actually DT, I was being sarcastic. Just wondering what the real deal will be. Got people travelling into NYC tonight. Wondering if they should stay in Ithaca or take the ride down.
