Relax, it is only December 1. Meaning it is the first day of meteorological winter. In fact, it is still 20 days until the calendar says it is winter. I don't think it is going to be an extremely cold and snowy winter in Richmond - but I do expect slightly below normal temps between now and March 15, along with at least slightly above normal snow.

Garrettj,

Dont worry this will not be a 01/02 repeat even though it is something to fear. But this will not be a repeat. You will see snow up to 12-18 inches total. Probibly average. We still have got about 3 to 4 months of winter. Lets let it get started and get going then we shall see. Sit tight it will happen and we will get snow and plenty of it average to above average. Hey its dealable. I hope next winter is another block buster winter but time and all will tell.

Garrettj - 15 to 18 inches of snow for the winter is not out of the question in your area.
