PBI reading 54 degrees at 2pm (forecasted high of 56) looking like we may not hit our forecasted high.

Currently under a freeze watch for tonight/tomorrow morning.

I find that statement about rivaling the '89 and '77 arctic blasts as hard to believe when our local NWS only forecasts a low tonight of 28 and no lower than 32 through the weekend. During those outbreaks we were down near 20 degrees. But anyway as of now tonight could be the coldest for us this week. My Davis Vantage II has a reading of 37 here at 7:30, wereas last night at this time it was 40. Here at my house the low this morning was 30, but the winds were still mixing the air pretty well. Its calm tonight, so far. May finally get that killing frost on my lawn that I've been expecting all week. :froze:

My grass finally went brown with this cold snap. Thankfully, I was getting tired of mowing in december.

I see that weather.com shows our (Orlando's) high for Saturday to be 38 degrees. The NOAA site and weatherunderground site both show the high being 47. Is that a mistake on the part of the WeatherChannel or are they justing seeing something differently? That'd be remarkable if our high is only 38. That would almost certainly be a record low high for any day around here. The low is only forecasted to be 29/28 which of course is cold for us but not historical by any means.

12Z GFS forecasting 0.1 to 0.25 in of QPF in narrow band from Tampa to Orlando at 2 PM Saturday. 850 mb zero line down to Sarasota and Melbourne by then. Based on a 10:1 ratio of liquid to frozen precip, could be 1 to 2 inches of snow along the I-4 corridor from Tampa to Orlando Saturday afternoon with some flurries even down in S FL on Saturday night.

LOL were too far north in NW fla :double:
