Potential winter precip in Western Carolinas
No disrespect to Texas, but it is time to look into the mid Atlantic with this system. NWS Charlotte starting to discuss p-type issues for Monday evening into Monday night. Mountains almost certain to see some frozen stuff, but now the NC Foothills and possibly even the Piedmont of NC and the SC Mountians may get a shot. Track seems to be favorable for some winter precip, but just as in Texas, profiles not too favorable. There is going to be a bunch of rain in this area between now and Monday, a little frozen stuff would be a welcome change from 74 degrees yesterday. Today maybe 50- feels nice. Something to keep an eye on. How this develops in Texas will be key as will the exact track.

Yeah I know I have seen some of the models that are comeing out showing this system could bring a chance of Wintry Weather here. But right now is still to early to tell how the track of the system will go.. But then again maybe it will suprise use. I would be a nice change condsidering that I haven't seen snow of Christmas damn since I was a little kid.. It will something that everyone should keep an eye on because who know's maybe we could luck up and this become a good size Winter Storm for us... That would be nice for a change.

NWS Charlotte discussion focuses on the heavy rain threat, but closes the Haz weather outlook by saying colder air moving in may lead to some snow showers on Tuesday. Just a quick mention as models appear to becoming better in line as time goes by. Christmas day showing rain and 47 currently.

Well, guess I'll again start continually being back and forth on this website to see what the mets are saying! I really wish our area could get another wollop like we did in early December, 2002. I think that was the LAST time I was excited! No heat, no electricity for four days, but it is definitely something that's overdue for us IMO.
