Cold Air Sinking DEEP into the South. Temperatures have dropped significantly since sunset..Record cold??? No, but, it's chilly. Temps should bottom around freezing in the city if winds don't pick up and 20's in surrounding areas....

Also very interesting is to compare Jacksonville and New York, or Miami and Pierre.

Had to replace the dry rotted fan belt on my Duotherm heater. Down here in the Tampa bay Florida area we don't need to turn on the heat at all some years.

What goes around comes around, I'm glad the midwest is having fewer heating degree days. I don't mind running the heater here for 15 minutes in the morning if it means someones heating bill up north drops by a hundred bucks!

It's not to often that you see the south as cold or colder than the north. It sure is interesting to look at that map.

look at Miami (54) and the southern tip of Texas (54) compared to some city in Montana (55) now that is definately not seen everyday...
