BRRRRRRR'ing in Mississippi

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Mon Oct 23, 2006 9:28 pm

OMgosh it is cold! I had no idea it would get this cold. Had to go back in the house this morning to get a jacket. Then I get to work and the air conditioner had been left on all weekend. :cold:

I love to hear when our buddies down in the South get "chilly". It's kind of like when we go through the winter thaw up here, it hits the 50's and 60's and people are walking around in shorts and flip flops!

I must admit though it feels more like November than October up here.

I had to turn the heater on. My house is off the ground. The insulation was wiped out from the surge and has not been replaced yet. Had to pull out my thermal sock booties. I KNEW they would come in handy one day.

Steph, we are usually walking around in flip flops and shorts this time of year. Heck, I remember one Christmas Eve it was 80 degrees and the next morning we had sleet. lol.

It's mighty cold here too! But as the old saying goes, misery loves company, so I'm glad we are all in this together for a change YAY It makes me feel better.

Mornings in the low 30s here, and I'm still wearing shorts (and if I actually liked flip-flops, I would be wearing them, too).
