Very windy day here in North Houston. Hooks has been reporting sustained winds over 30mph at times with gusts to 40mph. The only good news is that it is sunny..the bad news is that the winds are strong enough to blow around light things, make driving more difficult, and tatter some flags.

Official TOP GUSTS so far today:

Hooks: 38mph
IAH: 41mph
Hobby: 39mph
Galveston: 46mph

These numbers are about what I would expect to find if a weak tropical storm hit the area, not on a beautiful sunny day...but at least it is not raining. I think we may be actually getting as high or higher gusts right now. Outside my window I can hear each gust screeching past.

AND I QUOTE:

ARSON/BURN BAN

IS THIS TRUE?

Am I now BANNED from committing ARSON because of the dry weather?

If so...this drought is worse than I thought! :D

Well I am not going to sit here and let anyone stand in the way of my right to commit arson. Drought or no drought.
