In the thread I should of been more specific the fronts we've been getting are Pacific in origin I meant will we be getting true arctic fronts here in the SE US once the NAO goes negative.

I dunno but I wish one would hurry and blow through here in Mississippi. I am sick of this warm, humid weather. If I have to put up with this in January then bring on summertime!

dont worry! Winter WILL be back! China and Japan are seeing thier coldest winter's in over 20 years and feet upon feet of snow blanket the northern sections of both countries. Also, New Dehli is seeing thier first freezes in over 70 years! (Also, Europe is seeing thier coldest winter in years) If you translate that over to America it would mean the coldest weather since the 80s. Nothing that extreme is forecast in the US in the short term...but if that Asian air can get over the poles and into North America...then WATCH OUT!!!

Yes but is that even a possibility? That cold can easily stayed bottled up north for the remainder of the winter season.

Very true the long range says warmer than warmer for southern areas.

the long range also likes to change around a lot. Don't worry...before February I think you guys will get another dose of cold.
