Savannah, GA: 18" snow 206 years ago!!

On 1/9-1/11/1800, Savannah, GA, received an incredible 18"+ of snow per The Columbian Museum and Savannah Advertiser!! Based on my own research into Savannah wx history including extensive research of old Savannah newspapers, there apparently hasn't been any snow storm of its caliber since then. In second place per old papers is a still very impressive 10" that was reported there on 3/3-4/1837.

I am still waiting for a repeat of the Feb. 14-15, 1895 snowfall here in Baton Rouge, an incredible 12.5 inches. During the same storm, Rayne, LA got 24 inches, and I believe Beaumont, TX got 31 inches.
