chill in Houston this weekend?

#1 Postby Extremeweatherguy » Mon Jan 02, 2006 9:42 pm

Could our warm spell finally end? The latest run of the European seems to think so...take a look for yourself:

***after clicking link go to ECMWF NA view. Then click on day 4 under the section 850mb T/SLP***

Wouldn't be surprised to see a freeze or two if this verifies...may be even some 20s. This would be a big change. Also, highs back below 60 look likely if this plays out. Might need to pull out the coats again! :D

could even get really cold. Looks like the source region for this air will be right from northern canada itself. Continues to look more interesting each time I look at it from a different angle. Looks like it may also get windy this weekend as well. May be we will go from a warm 80 degrees to a cold, windy 50 degree day by this weekend? Lots to watch...
