Steve H. wrote:Thanks for the update Jeff. 0Z NAM now looks colder to me. I'm heading to Smuggler's Notch on Wednesday and I was worriried about the mild air. Definitely looks like a pattern change on the way. Hope it stays that way with the next few model runs!
The GFS is finally convincing me that the unseasonably warm spell in the SE is coming to an end this week. Mid range for late this week has a cold air surge coming down, with a weaker one early next week. I have way more faith in the 5-7 day than the extended forecast, which has been bait and switch for a month.
Extended for Mobile:
.LONG TERM (TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY)...FEW MODS TO CURRENT EXTENDED. ANOTHER FRONT PASSES CWA MIDWEEK...WITH TUESDAY POSSIBLY A LOCAL MINIMUM FOR HUMIDITY BEFORE THAT FRONT GETS BY US. EXTENDED PRODUCTS INDICATE NEAR SEASONAL TEMPS BEHIND THE FRONT...THEN ANOTHER PLUNGE DURING THE DAY FRIDAY. HIGH TEMPS FRIDAY MAY BE REALIZED AROUND NOON OR EVEN IN THE MORNING.
