Deleting Our Own Posts

#1 Postby ColdFront77 » Sat Feb 08, 2003 3:53 pm

I see that we are unable to delete our own messages. There are times that we may want to delete a message we just posted or want to delete a double post.

Is it possible to add a "delete feature" to this site? :) Thanks.

Deleting Posts

#2 Postby mf_dolphin » Sat Feb 08, 2003 4:34 pm

On this version of the board, I believe that the delete authority applies to the whole Forum not just to your own posts. We'll test it just to make sure. Until then if you need a post deleted just PM one of the Moderators and they'll be happy to take care of it for you!

There is apparently a certain period time you are then unable to edit a post...

Time delay for editing

#7 Postby mf_dolphin » Sat Feb 08, 2003 7:54 pm

There was a setting that limited posts to once every 15 seconds. I lowered it to 5 seconds. Let me know if that helps with the time delay for editing :D

Ok. Thank you again, Marshall. With such a great friendship with each other, I don't think we need our posts locked in place.. if and when we find that we want to tweak it or correct the spelling or grammar that we know of at a particular time in the future.

With time those "other guys" would increase features, I would think... they have done a few things since last summer and fall.

The forums here are certainly great and I am still continuing my everyday frequent access with a nice crowd here... this is certainly a social avenue that not everyone, such as myself can do face to face. - it even helps even without totally improve the way I am. :)

No doubt Tom..I second that as well!

So much easier to check a post you made here a few days ago and find it still here instead of being tampered with, edited, locked, or deleted all together...like you-know-where! lol

Hey Rob here at storm2k the moderators wont lock any post unless it is a bad one with bad words or fighting with other members and other things that not correspond to the best running of storm2k :D so we here wont be like TWC that closed topics without a real reason to do so.

Thats whats good about it here...you are not judged as a small person amongst all these others here. Its good to know that you guys are here to keep peace and that most of you are on at some points of the day in case anything gets out of line.
