The lack of convection is causing the dvorak numbers to go down.

Not often a tropical cyclone forms in the South Atlantic. One would think there would be more tropical cyclones forming in the South Atlantic. Strong wind shear, cooler water temperature, and lack of ITCZ.

Does anyone have a list of all the SATL cyclones? Only remenber Caterina in 2004 that was a hurricane.

This one looks like it may have briefly been a subtropical storm. I disagree with the current TS classification. Nothing tropical about it.

The Brazil Navy that issue the warnings are very slow doing so. This is not a Tropical Cyclone anymore.

The entire western semicircle of Akará now consists of closed-cell (overcast) cold-air stratocumulus.

Bones should have been on the phone with Navy Brazil a good 24 hours ago. :lol:
