Movement looks slightly more northward than westward (with some wobbles to the west) at the end of this to me?

Maybe Tammy wants to avoid the Caribbean considering how almost nothing has occurred there all season. Fill the quota of 0 hurricanes in that region.

Must be a reason most of the other storms have avoided it like the plague this year. Something sinister, perhaps...

Center is passing very near--if not over--Barbuda based on recent radar frames. Unlucky.

Re: ATL: TAMMY - Hurricane - Discussion
That convective burst formed and peaked right over Barbuda with a very strong lightning signature. That is just really bad luck. 6 years ago this name list gave them Irma. Hopefully that burst wasn't too damaging, I'm not sure how well they've even recovered since Irma. I believe after Irma everyone on the island had to evacuate for a certain amount of time because the damage was so bad.
Thankfully Tammy isn't nearly as strong as Irma, so I hope that burst wasn't too bad and everyone there is doing OK.

Re: ATL: TAMMY - Hurricane - Discussion
Recon indicates this has probably weakened a bit since landfall. Probably down to 65 kt now instead the supposed 75 kt the 06z BT / 2am intermediate have it as.

Re: ATL: TAMMY - Hurricane - Discussion
Tammy might’ve briefly weakened below hurricane status. Recon supports 60 kt maximum. However, I expect it to become a hurricane again as part of its waxing and waning fluctuations.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.
