Central Subtropical Atlantic (Remnants of Gert):
Showers and thunderstorms associated with a trough of low pressure
(the remnants of Gert) are located several hundred miles north of
the northern Leeward Islands. Environmental conditions are becoming
unfavorable for additional development as the system drifts
northward or north-northeastward.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...low...10 percent.

Central Subtropical Atlantic (Remnants of Gert):
Earlier satellite wind data indicated that a well-defined
circulation has re-developed with the remnants of Gert, located
several hundred miles north of the northern Leeward Islands.
However, shower and thunderstorm activity is currently limited. This
system has a short window for further development later today before
environmental conditions become more unfavorable by this weekend, as
the system drifts slowly northeastward or eastward.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...low...30 percent.

If this well defined LLC and the convection I'd have gone 70% and used wording that if any increase of organization would result in a short lived depression.

Central Subtropical Atlantic (Remnants of Gert):
A weak but well-defined area of low pressure located several hundred
miles north-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands is producing
limited shower and thunderstorm activity. This system has a short
window for further development during the next day or so while it
drifts northeastward or eastward before upper-level winds become
increasingly unfavorable by the weekend.

Call me crazy but I think I'm feeling kind of bad for Gert. She tries and tries endlessly but the atmosphere just never gives her a chance. Her whole life has been one big struggle for very little reward. :cry:

Time to make it official. Gert has came back from the dead.

If they don't do it now, they may do it in the TCR of Gert.

The only way to kill a zombie storm is to shoot it in the head. I think NHC is busy enough and are hoping it will go away. Me, too.

Well if they don't revive Gert now, I'm sure it'll be listed as a TD at least today in the TCR when it comes out. The little storm that could!

Gert seems to be looking better but with both Franklin towering over it and Jose next to it. I think it will not much live longer and get swept up in Franklin.

Gert now appears to have nearly equal organization and strength to Jose! Does anyone else agree?
