HUMBERTO still around as a Post tropical cyclone, affecting the Southern Grand Banks off of Newfoundland. (No effects on land)

For Post-tropical Storm Humberto.

Gale to storm force winds continue to spread across the southern Grand banks this overnight.
1. Summary of basic information at 09:30 p.m. NDT.
Location: Near 44.2 North 55.6 West. About 335 kilometres southwest of Cape Race. Maximum sustained winds: 110 kilometres per hour.
Present movement: East-northeast at 35 kilometres per hour. Minimum central pressure: 980 millibars.
2. Public weather impacts and warnings summary.
No significant effects are expected over land.
a. Wind.
No significant wind expected.
b. Rainfall.
Some outer rain bands are now visible on radar near the southern portions of the Avalon and Burin Peninsulas. Heavier bands may reach further north overnight as Post-Tropical Storm Humberto tracks across the Grand Banks.
c. Surge/Waves.
Swells of 3 to 5 metre swells will reach southern Newfoundland tonight and will continue into Saturday morning. Waves will break higher along some areas of the coastline, and dangerous rip currents are possible.
3. Marine weather impacts and warnings summary.
Storm warnings are in effect for Laurentian Fan and the Southern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for Banquereau - southern half, Northeast Coast and East Coast of Newfoundland, Funk Island bank and the Northern Grand Banks.
Gale to Storm Force winds are occurring over southeastern portions of the Maritimes marine district tonight and will move over marine areas east of Newfoundland beginning Saturday morning. Significant wave heights of 7 to 10 metres are forecast to the right of Humberto's track over southeastern offshore waters tonight and into early Saturday morning.
