Actually, 1977 is the least active EPAC season on record.
I have to admit, it'd be pretty ironic if this becomes a TS or even a hurricane.

1977 had eight storms. 2010 has had seven.

And, in 1977, the EPAC managed to generate only 22 units of ACE, less than half of the current total of 2010. Subjective and beating a totally dead horse, but ACE is a far superior metric of seasonal activity than a count of named storms or even hurricanes. I don't really care about the Georgettes of the season; I don't, like so many others apparently, lose sleep over their naming, but really ACE better reflects the contribution of such storms.
Anyway 99E looks a mess, and I don't think very many models do much with it. It's in a terrible environment as well.
