There has been a good deal of activity to the SW of Puerto Rico in the past few days with more than 400 quakes with some being felt. Grapfic below show how many occured on January 1 alone.

Many more quakes between 2.5 and 4.7 the max in the past 24 hours.

Very shallow and getting bigger.
Hate to say it but reminds me of the precursors before the big Japan Quake in 2011.

I am alive and well after the Earthquake as well as my family. The lack of electric power and some problems with communications were what caused me not to be shortly after the event. Thank God it was no worse for Puerto Rico than it happened.

Yes a good shake for Dominca, nearest operating connected seismic station is Grenada
and showed a decent waveform spike.

Its weird how seismicity acts quite a number of times, here we have a
quake close to the island of Dominica but the felt reports are from Martinique,
obviously if the people from that island have limited internet resources, that
could be a reason, but this is how the earth responds sometimes.
