Well technically the USA only covers from 35W westwards but they do issue TC advisories outside of this.

Certainly more impressive than Andrea ever was, but this one was well out to sea and the NHC continues to be inconsistent in what it names. Would it have been named if it was just off the east U.S. Coast and a possible threat to land? Probably.

In any case, it's being absorbed by another much larger low to its west today.

Their comfortable w/ the season #'s now, no need to continue naming sheared messes.

Agreed, I fully expect this to be upgraded on post-analysis. I can name about a half-dozen storms that looked worse than this one did, and they got named.
