Meteorology can be a scary gig. Tornadoes, baseball-sized hail and hurricanes often threaten weather reporters in the field.
But then there’s the spiders.
Global B.C. meteorologist Kristi Gordon had a minor freak-out on air after a spider crawled its way in front of a weather camera.
Watch the video above to see Gordon’s reaction. Here’s a partial transcript:
“Oh my gosh that was creepy! Oh, of course he had to be right on my head.”
“Oh! I just don’t like that.”
“Okay, I gotta move.”
“AHHHHHH!”
Sure, the spider wasn’t actually in the studio, much less on Gordon’s head, but arachnophobia can trip up the best of us.
Gordon seemed embarrassed about the incident, but took it with good humour on Twitter.
Some mets don't handle spiders well.
