New Orleans restoration plan

#1 Postby bigmike » Thu Jul 13, 2006 9:19 pm

Dr. Masters over at Wunderground did a good story today on the Army Corps of Engineers and their continued botchup of the New Orleans/La restoration plan. I don't know if someone would be nice enough to link it but I do think its sad that five important recommendations for preventing another diaster to happen were stripped out. Politics as usual I guess.

There ARE lawsuits pending to close that Killer MRGO... this isn't just "politics"... its about the BUCK$$$$$.... And it's one $AD testimony to the priorities where the protection of a major city's populace is at stake.

Since the $$$$ will persist in keeping us from getting the needed actions through the normal governmental channels, let's hope the judiciary can see that something is done.
