Decision Time

Looking at the satellite photos, it looks like the only areas not flooded are the CBD and the French Quarter. The rest of the city is lost. Fires are breaking out now and that's just the beginning.

If they have any hope of ever reclaiming the French Quarter and CBD, all resources (besides search and rescue, etc.) need to focus on that effort NOW. If they don't, it will burn to the gound and then there will be nothing left to salvage.

Well, Westbank is not flooded. So are parts of Metarie and Kenner.

Everything east of the Industrial Canal, however, is a write off at this stage.
