Lots of damage in Monroe County, Mississippi. Watching WTVA and Amory, MS is in pretty bad shape.

Looks like EF4 damage. No serious ground scouring. Not too many slabs. Houses probably were not built to code. I’ll have to see what the pros say. Regardless, it’s a terrible situation. There was the complete debarking of trees.

I saw the reply that this may take a few days for them to complete the surveys.

Also, the Tornado in Rolling Forks has already been rated EF4+ apparently.

You always hold your breath when severe outbreaks of late happens in the southeast. Dixie alley living up its name, tragic overall, almost an annual thing nowadays. Speedy recovery to the region.

Last fall semester, I did a case study on the April 2010 Yazoo City tornado for a class. When I saw the supercell approaching Rolling Fork, I knew that it was going to be trouble because it had a very similar structure like the supercell that hit Yazoo City. Unfortunately, it appears that the damage is very similar.

Good morning! We are deploying three survey teams this morning to assess the damage from yesterdays severe storms. Team 1- Sharkey CountyTeam 2- Humphreys CountyTeam 3- Holmes/Montgomery Counties Our goal is to assess as much as we can today but please bare with us! (1/2)

Seems a very inappropriate time to be talking about getting naked. Don't know how that helps surveying, but I'll be patient and bear with them that maybe there's a valid reason.
